Why I Started Marketing for Therapists
Most digital agencies treat therapy practices like any other small business. They apply the same generic templates, the same off-the-shelf strategies, the same one-size-fits-all thinking that they’d use for a plumber or a restaurant. And then they wonder why it doesn’t quite work. Marketing for therapists is genuinely different. The language needs to feel safe, not salesy. The ethical boundaries are specific and important. I founded Marketing for Therapists to combine everything I know about psychology and therapy with everything I’ve built over 15 years in digital marketing — so that therapists, counsellors and psychologists can finally get marketing that genuinely understands them. MSc in Psychology
My Masters in Psychology, majoring in Counselling and Therapy, gave me a deep understanding of the therapeutic relationship, mental health presentations, and the ethical frameworks that govern your profession — BACP, UKCP, BPS and beyond.
This isn’t background reading. It’s the foundation I bring to every website I build, every piece of content I write, and every marketing strategy I develop for a therapy practice.
I understand what it feels like to be the person on the other side of that first Google search — uncertain, hoping to find someone who feels right. That shapes everything I do.

15+ Years in Digital Marketing
Over 15 years working in digital marketing — including experience working with leading brands and managing over £10 million in Google Ads spend — I’ve built and refined every aspect of what makes an online presence perform.
Website design and development. Search engine optimisation. Google Ads. Content strategy. Conversion optimisation. I’ve done all of it, at scale, for real businesses with real targets.
I also run Purple Tiger Digital — a broader digital marketing agency for commercial clients. Marketing for Therapists is where I bring that same rigour to a field I care about deeply.

Outside of work, I’m a qualified yoga teacher with a genuine commitment to mindfulness and positive psychology — not as buzzwords, but as practices that genuinely shape how I think, work and engage with the world. My interest in psychology didn’t start and end with a degree. It’s been a thread running through everything I do — understanding people, understanding what motivates them, understanding what holds them back. It’s part of why I find working with the therapy community so meaningful. The people you help deserve to find you. I’m based in the UK, registered as a limited company, and work with therapists, counsellors and psychologists across the UK and internationally.
